Awards for All is a Lottery grants scheme funding small, local community-based projects in the UK.
Great news! The Friends of Evington Park, in collaboration with Steve Palethorpe, Parks Officer at Evington Park, have been successful in their bid for Big Lottery Funding to be spent on encouraging all ages to learn to ride a bike. Cycle sessions for beginners and improvers will be held in Evington, Humberstone and Spinney Hill Parks. Cycling is a healthy and fun family activity and it’s a cheap means of transport that offers complete freedom. If you have little ones not ready to ride a bike, then scooting sessions will be offered. Bicycles and scooters will be available to borrow for the session.
All ages and all abilities welcome - from 3 years old and upwards!
You're never too old to learn to ride a bike (or scooter)!
